King of Prussia Field Hockey Club (Blazers) sent a contingent of volunteers to the Special Olympics at the Norristown Bocce courts last month. The ladies quickley endeared themselves to the participants and had each one looking to the ladies for their support and cheering throughout the morning session. Slapping high-fives and applauding the activity you could tell by the looks on the Olympics participants that this day was something special for all involved. The ladies provided manpower to help set-up, marched in the opening ceremony and took on teams as their cheering/support group. It was evident the impact the Blazers had for as they were leaving (to go to the HS practice) the players stopped playing their match to come over and give each a hearty hug of thanks. Couldn't beat that for a start to anyone's day.. Well done ladies!! Click here to see the gallery...

Congratulation to Xtreme Bocce for winning the Bocce championship at the Conshohocken Boccista Club on Saturday July 21st. After a grueling week long playoff run the team from KOP represented by winning the club champiosnhip 3-0 over No-Names. Unlike the Buffalo Bills and the Philadelphia Eagles when Xtreme got to the championship round they made sure to give their opponent no hope of taking what belonged to Xtreme.  continue reading Click here...
